How to install Ambient light for Mercedes-Benz W205 C class /W253 GLC class

First ,let's share some Effection picture about Mercedes-Benz ambient light/ interior atmosphere lighting

Here come to the point, how to get this ambient light function for your car?

First . we need to knwo what the  product component are?

Centrol sonsole parts

Four doors parts

Lamp for centrol console

Lamp for front door 

Lamp for rear door 

Extention cable for rear door

Second step :Take off the door panel

1、Take off the panel after release the screw with T30 tool

2、Take off the wooden peach part after releasing the METEL buckle

3、 Use a pliers or soldering iron cut below the black solder joint to withdraw

the electroplating trim

4、Replace our electroplanting trim ,install the peach panel and fix it with

adhesive or electric iron.

5 Connect the Lamp and replace the original car door handle lamp(package it ,no need anymore)

 6  Run the cable and connect the NO6 plug, white cable connect 5#,Brown connect
10#,Orange connect 11#.then install the panel to car

Note: Above show for front door , some car version need run extention cable to

reardoor , casue original without reserved cable, Just check if there is any

reserved pin in the 5#,10#,11# of plug NO6 .

front door

8.Cables run from rear Left side pillow B to right side pillow B
,diagram show as above

9 Diagram for connecting cable

                        Pull uptowords

         Rear door brown ground cable connect to brown ground cable oforiginal door handle

     Rear door brown ground cable connect o brown ground cable of original door

Third Step:Centrol console installation

1 Install the centrol console lamp to the reversed position.make sure that lamp installed is fixed

 2  plug the lamp with two end ,replace the cup holder lamp and glove box lamp ,total 6 pcs

 3 Take off the plate under steering wheel,run the cable from centrol console
to left side BLUE plug .Orange connect1#,white connect13#,Brown connect
Ground. then reset.

                                               后门--Means Rear door ;中控---Means centrol console

                                                                                                 Orange 1# White 13#

 Forth STEP: PROGRAMMING

Use our plug and play OBD to upgrade .
1 Turn on the car engine
2 Plug the OBD tool
3 Wait the car menu shows"DIAGNOSTIC"
4 Locked the car for 2 minutes after the vehicle automatic restart from diagnostic status.
5 Go to vehicle setting menu to check if the Ambient light menu was activated.

Why carplay can not upgrade successfully？

First let me briefly show how to updrade carplay by OBD.
Total 7 steps:
1 Turn on the car first
2 plug the OBD
3 wait DIAG come out
4 car will automatic restart
5 lock the car 2 minutes
6 restart the engine
7 if still not see the Carplay menu, connect the phone with USB then check it again

Now come to the point Some friend feedback that after upgrade,the screen keep all the time BLACK. picture shows as below :

For this problem , actually you just need to do 

1 lock the car 2 minutes
2 restart the engine
3 connect the phone with USB then check it again

Few questiones you have to know before activating Mercedes-Benz carplay Android auto

Now Carplay and Android Auto is the hottest thing for car owner, it bring us more convenience and safty ,and right now more and more aftermarket OBD can achieve this ,but OBD is OBD,Few questiones you have to knwo clear .
1 How to know your car can be activated  “CARPLAY+ANDROID AUTO”function?

There are two USB port inside the armrest, cars with icon( phone+screen ) can use OBD to program “CARPLAY+ANDROID AUTO”functio

2 You have to check Vehicle status before using OBD 

Check if original car already activied carplay from factory.if yes then no need OBD anymore.

How to figure out if carplay active or not? 

Enter original car menu

by controlling the rotary knob,you can see that there is no CARPLY and Android Auto item right now .

3 To make sure OBD can read the car data , your car should be on the ACC ON status. or start the engine,see video how to activate

Upgrade Bang&Olufsen for Mercedes-Benz GLE W166

My GLE400 4MATIC come to our family in February 2016,and I was so happy to upgrade its audio system . here share with every GLE lover .

1 Check if your GLE  come with 3 colors ambient light or not

• If car comes with 3 colors ambient light , then just need to add Bang&Olufsen speaker .
• If car come without 3 colors ambient light, then you need to add：Peach wooden panel(this come with  ambient light )+ OBD activator+Bang&Olufsen speaker.

Above is 3 colors ambient light + Bang&Olufsen resolution , also you can upgrade to 12 colors . effectiong picures as below .

Important things is all this color can be control by COMAND (Rotary knob)

How to know 3D Burmester surrounding sound system good or not ?

Three point very important.

1 Check if its controled by Maybach protocal .with this protocal can easy and perfect match orignal audio system .keep 100% sounds .

2 Check if  the ambient light move synchronously with car factory ambient light . it includs the speed of color-change , and light intensity.

3 Installation must be plug and play . never do any harm to your lovely car

Ofcause one more things we can not miss : How the sound effect ,take a CD and play some music, record it and compare with the car without it .
